I have never dared to consider myself an artist since I failed art in school and it wasn't until recently that I decided that not doing well in art class doesn't define my creativity. On the precipice of turning 50, I now finally dare to identify as an artist (it only took me 50 years!) and start my journey to create. This is my most recent art piece and it symbolises beauty in imperfection. As they say, if you can dream it, you can become it. Let nothing - not age, not other people's opinions - hold you back from your dreams.
