Some student work - beginning watercolor class

Thought I'd share a pic from a free community library class I taught this weekend - Beginning Watercolor. It amazes me the brush control folks are able to learn, just within a 2 hr class. A lot of people had never done any painting before class! And, shout out to the Aquash Brush - it's literally the best brush to learn watercolor on, especially for the price (plus the caps help a lot, that means the brush tip is protected when I haul the supplies to and from class!) I only give folks the 3 primary colors to start with. Pentel brand as well! Colors are: "Red" - which is like a quinacridone red, ultramarine blue, and lemon yellow. They did a great job mixing for a variety of greens!

That's such a neat idea! I've been thinking about creating something like this for a Pentel demo I have coming up.
